GIRAFFE、ROOTS、GRIFFINといった数々のエンジニアブーツを手がけてきたRolling Dub Trioが、日本人にとって理想的なエンジニアブーツの在り方を改めて見つめ直し、形にしたのが「CONQUER」です。
定番モデルであるCOUPENやCASPERと同じ木型を採用し、程よくボリュームを持たせたつま先と、かかと周りまで出し縫いを施した360度グッドイヤーウエルト製法により構築。
コバは適度に張り出し、全体のバランスを整えた美しいプロポーションに仕上げています。さらに、オリジナル配合のコルククレープソールとブロックヒールを組み合わせることで、高い安定性と快適な歩行性を実現した一足です。
こちらのレザーは、ESPRITdeCHROMEと名付けたフランス原皮の牛革(キップ)。
クロム鞣しですが、肉厚でもちもちとした質感に仕上げました。
靴にした際に、あまり左右差のないシワが入るように設定し茶芯仕様で製作いたしました。
Rolling Dub Trio, known for crafting engineer boots such as GIRAFFE, ROOTS, and GRIFFIN, revisited the ideal form of engineer boots for Japanese wearers and brought it to life as the “CONQUER.”
Built on the same last as the brand’s signature models COUPEN and CASPER, it features a moderately voluminous toe and is constructed using a 360-degree Goodyear welt, with stitching extending through the heel. The welt edge is slightly extended to create a well-balanced and refined silhouette.
Finished with an original cork crepe sole and a block heel, the boot offers excellent stability and comfortable wear.
The leather used for this model is “ESPRIT de CHROME,” a French kip leather. Although chrome-tanned, it has been developed with a thick, supple, and cushiony feel. It is designed to develop relatively even creasing with minimal left-right variation, and is made in a tea-core specification for rich aging over time.
