2011年より開始したTOKYO SANDALのモノ作り
多くの試行錯誤の末、様々なモデルを制作してきました

昔は 夏にブーツが(今よりは)履かれない時代
ブーツ製作のあい間に 出したサンダルが TOKYO SANDAL でした
厚く頑強な天板に 交換の効くソールをステッチダウン製法で取り付ける
初期のものはかなり硬く重い仕様でしたね
(いまでも大切に使っていただいている方々本当にありがとうございます)
製靴、ブーツメイキング技術を駆使し、自社工場 THE BOOTS FACTORY で製造する MADE IN TOKYO のサンダルです
時代が経つにつれ ご愛顧いただく方も増えていき
2026年 早いもので TOKYO SANDAL は15周年を迎えます
いろんな趣向を凝らしたアイテムを作りました
定番の形以外にもエキゾチックレザーや、刺繍・金箔・藍染などなど
なつかしいです
キリの良い周年ではありますが特段目立つことはしないかと思います
ただ黙々と 変わらず真摯にモノ作りを続けていければ幸いです
たくさんあった型数を一度減らしたのは
ブーツの生産数が当初では考えられないくらい伸びてしまい
純粋に時間が取れなくなってしまったから
また様々なモデルを作りたいですが まずは出来ることからゆっくりと進めていきます
およそ夏と謂れる時間が 10年20年前より確実に増え
"直して履ける"という日本人の気質に合った 革のサンダルが生活に馴染んできました
2026年も2型ほどにはなるかと思いますが、
マイナーチェンジし更に履きやすく 歩行性能の上がったモデルをお披露目させていただきます
従来通り あいかわらず いつもの私たちのペースでの進行にはなりますが
引き続き TOKYO SANDAL の世界観をお楽しみいただければ幸いです
TOKYO SANDAL — Crafting Since 2011
Since 2011, TOKYO SANDAL has been devoted to the art of making things by hand.
Through countless trials and refinements, we have created a wide variety of models over the years.
There was a time when boots were worn far less in summer than they are today.
In the quiet intervals between making boots, we began crafting sandals—this was the origin of TOKYO SANDAL.
Thick, rugged footbeds paired with replaceable soles, attached using stitchdown construction.
The earliest models were quite stiff and heavy by today’s standards.
(To those who still wear and cherish them today, we offer our heartfelt thanks.)
These sandals are made in Tokyo at our own workshop, THE BOOTS FACTORY, using the same shoemaking and bootmaking techniques we have honed over many years.
They are, quite simply, Made in Tokyo.
As time passed, more and more people came to appreciate our work.
In 2026, TOKYO SANDAL quietly marks its 15th anniversary.
Over the years, we have created many pieces with different expressions—
from our classic forms to experiments with exotic leathers, embroidery, gold leaf, and indigo dyeing.
Looking back, these memories feel both vivid and nostalgic.
Though it is a meaningful milestone, we do not plan to celebrate in any conspicuous way.
Instead, we hope to continue making things with sincerity and patience, just as we always have.
At one point, we reduced the number of models we offered.
Boot production had grown beyond anything we once imagined, and simply put, time became scarce.
We still wish to create many different designs, but for now, we will move forward slowly, doing what we can.
The season we call “summer” has undeniably grown longer than it was ten or twenty years ago.
Leather sandals—made to be repaired and worn for years—have naturally found their place in daily life, aligning with a distinctly Japanese sense of care and longevity.
In 2026, we plan to introduce around two models.
Each will feature subtle refinements, improved comfort, and enhanced walkability.
As always, we will proceed at our own unhurried pace.
We sincerely hope you continue to enjoy the world of TOKYO SANDAL.
