"Shoe spatula made by Asano Kajiya / Asano Kajiya handcrafted shoehorn

Swordsmithing is a traditional Japanese craft that has been passed down since the Muromachi period and is the pride of Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.

Since ancient times, swordsmiths have crafted swords in the hope of bringing peace to the world.

Swordsmith Fusataro trained under the 25th Fujiwara Kanefusa for six years, and has spent approximately 20 years learning the art and spirit of swordsmithing.

Starting with a public Japanese sword forging workshop in France in 2012, Asano Blacksmith has been invited to various locations both in Japan and overseas, and continues to hone his blacksmithing techniques through interactions with blacksmiths, curators, and researchers from around the world.

This time, we have been able to create a product in collaboration with Asano Kajiya, a company we have known for a long time.
There are two models: long (55cm) and short (19cm).

This product is a tribute to the mutual respect shown by two industries that normally have no contact: a leather shoe maker and a swordsmith.

Each stainless steel shoehorn is tempered and hammered individually by a swordsmith, giving it increased strength and a dull shine.
We made many prototypes to find the curves and weight that would fit comfortably in the hand.

I believe that in this age of overflowing material goods, there is an interest in unnecessary things.

All items are engraved with a serial number.

Material: Handmade Stainless Steel by Asano Kajiya

Sword forging, a traditional Japanese technique proud of Seki City in Gifu Prefecture, has continued since the Muromachi period.
Since ancient times, swordsmiths have made swords in the hope of "Tenka Taihei."
The craftsman trained for six years and spent about 20 years learning swordsmithing and mind.
In 2012, he held a public training session for Japanese swords in France.
He has also interacted with blacksmiths, curators, and researchers from all over the world, and continues to improve his skills.

The story this time was about a year ago.
We talked about planning with Asano Blacksmith, who We had known for a long time.
This is the second time we have been asked to produce this product.
We produced the same long type (55cm) and short type (19cm) as before.

The Shoe Shop and the Swordsmith
Businesses that don't usually have contacts respect each other.
Product.
A shoehorn engraved with baking, stamping, and stamping by a swordsmith.
We repeated trial production in search of a curve and weight that fits in the hand.

It's because of the overflowing age of things.
We think it's interesting to have unnecessary things.
We made only a small amount with serial numbers engraved on everything.
