COLOBUS is a seamless monkey boot made from a single piece of leather with no stitching on the main upper parts.
The design without stitching on the sides brings out the texture of the leather, giving it a clean, minimalist impression.
By deliberately changing the manufacturing process to McKay, we have created a light and flexible boot.
The sole is made of crepe with no protruding welt, emphasizing the atmosphere of old-fashioned athletic boots, which are the roots of monkey boots.
The sole is the same as that of product number A (COUPEN, CAPSER, etc.), but it is thinner.
The shoes come with two different shoelaces, black and white, allowing you to enjoy a different look.
The leather is Italian Vachetta leather , rich in oil yet firm, a high-quality tanned leather with a long tradition in Tuscany that has a natural grain caused by shrinking.
Design --- COLOBUS is a seamless monkey boot which main upper part is made of one single piece of leather. As it does not have any stitching on the both sides of boot, is looks clean and the taste of leather is well enhanced. For this season, we build this COLOBUS with Mackay construction to make it even lighter and flexible. Sole is smaller Crepe sole without having edge extension. COLOBUS now looks like classical athletic shoes which is also a root of monkey boots. We offer this boot with 2 different shoelaces; Black and White.
Leather --- The tender, oil-rich leather is from Italy. It is one of the Vachetta leathers, that is a vege-tan leather with oil finish. The method to make it has centuries of history. It has natural grain which comes from the shrinking process of the leather.
