ROLLING DUB TRIOの新たなシリーズ「M42.5」

数多くのブランドがそのレプリカを手がけるミリタリーシューズの名作 M-42 ブーツと M-43 サービスシューズ。
本作は、その2足の「良いとこ取り」を目指してデザインされた挑戦的な一足です。

M-42に見られるマンソンラストの形状や高めのヒールバランス。
M-43 の特徴である一枚革のアッパーと美しいステッチワーク。
それぞれの要素を融合しながら、新たなシルエットとして再構築をいたしました。
 
※踏まず内側のみの4本ネイルや、ヒール内側のみに追加した小さな革積み上げなど、お手に取っていただいた際にわかる部分も多いかと思います。

アッパー内側には、もし 自社工場THE BOOTS FACTORY が当時の米軍のコンストラクター(製造元)だったら?という、想像に基づく刻印を入れました。

「実在しないものを、あえてコピーする」
という逆説的なアプローチから生まれたユニークな一足です。

こちらのM42.5 CZ(センタージップ)は、将校(オフィサー)や後方支援の兵士 (サービスマン)ではなく、第二次世界大戦当時の前線で活動する兵士のために存在していたかもしれない
架空のブーツを想定してデザインされています。

ZIP部分は過酷な環境でも使用に耐えるよう縫製方法を工夫しており、
摩耗した場合でも交換できる仕様となっています。

また、取り外し可能なタッセルパーツが付属しています。
これは、危険な前線にいる兵士であっても、”自分らしさや洒落っ気 を持ち続ける”
そんな人間らしい感情を表現したデザインです。

このブーツは、あたかも歴史上に実在したかのようなリアリティを持ちながらも、完全なフィクションとして構築されたRolling dub trio らしいプロダクトとなりました。

こちらのレザーは、BLACK ESPRITdeCHROMEと名付けたフランス原皮の牛革(キップ)。
クロム鞣しですが、肉厚でもちもちとした質感に仕上げました。
靴にした際に、あまり左右差のないシワが入るように設定し茶芯仕様で製作いたしました。

ROLLING DUB TRIO introduces a new series, M42.5 CZ.

Among the many military footwear masterpieces that have been reproduced by countless brands, the M-42 boots and the M-43 service shoes stand as true icons.
This model is an ambitious design that seeks to combine the finest qualities of both.

From the M-42, it inherits the distinctive Manson last and the higher heel balance.
From the M-43, it adopts the single-piece leather upper and its refined, elegant stitch work.
By carefully merging these defining elements, we have reconstructed them into an entirely new silhouette.

There are also numerous subtle details that reveal themselves only when the shoes are held in hand, such as the four nails placed exclusively on the inner side of the outsole, as well as a small additional leather stack added only to the inner side of the heel.

On the inside of the upper, a unique stamp has been applied, inspired by an imaginative concept: What if our own factory, THE BOOTS FACTORY, had been the constructor for the U.S. military at that time?

This distinctive pair was born from a paradoxical approach — deliberately copying something that never actually existed.

This M42.5 CZ (center zip) is designed as a fictional boot—one that might have existed for soldiers operating on the front lines during World War II, rather than for officers or rear-support servicemen.

The zipper construction has been carefully engineered to withstand harsh environments. The stitching method has been reinforced, and the design allows the zipper to be replaced should it become worn over time.

The boot also comes with a removable tassel accessory. This detail expresses a deeply human sentiment—the idea that even soldiers facing danger on the front lines would still wish to retain a sense of individuality and subtle personal style.

While carrying a sense of realism that makes it feel as though it could have existed in history, this boot is a complete work of fiction, thoughtfully constructed as a product that truly reflects the spirit of Rolling dub trio.

Leather

The leather used for this model is a French-sourced cowhide named BLACK ESPRIT de CHROME.
Although chrome-tanned, it features a thick, supple, and slightly elastic texture.
The leather has been carefully selected and set to develop balanced, even creasing when made into shoes, and is finished with a tea-core construction, allowing the underlying color to gradually emerge with wear.
