COUPON

The mid-cut boot "COUPEN" has been a staple in ROLLING DUB TRIO's lineup for many years.

Since its early days, it has gone through minor changes and continues to evolve into a classic shoe that is more balanced and comfortable to wear.

The basic leather is <USA HORWEEN CHROMEXCEL LEATHER>,
It's very famous now, and I think many of you know it.
This tannery was founded in Chicago, USA, and boasts over 100 years of history.

Its most distinctive feature, its unique texture and feel, comes from thick cowhide tanned using a method called combination tanning, which involves permeating it with a unique blend of oils and fats, including beef tallow, beeswax, fish oil, and vegetable fats.

By slowly soaking the leather in oil for several times longer than it takes for other leathers, Horween creates a unique leather that is difficult for other companies to imitate.

ROLLING DUB TRIO has been using this leather since the brand's early days, and currently, depending on the season, it is available in a variety of colors, including black, natural, burgundy, brown, and navy.

The bottom is fitted with an original cork-filled rubber sole.
They have good grip even on rainy days and are relatively soft to walk in.
Toe steel is used on the toes to prevent wear.
This will wear down as you wear the shoes, so the indication that repair is needed is when the single layer of leather above the steel has worn down.
Even if you wear them so much that the steel is gone, we will repair them to the same specifications, so there is no problem.

The heel is made of our own factory, THE BOOTS FACTORY's original TBS AR HEEL. The material has been changed to a harder material than before, making it less likely to wear down.

Regarding changes over time,
Basically, we use "brown core" leather, including Chrome Excel leather, which means that the core is not fully dyed. As you wear the shoes, the brown color will gradually become visible over time.
The opening and wing areas will rub against your pants, revealing a beautiful brown core, and the toe area will also gradually reveal a brown core as it is bumped and rubbed against other items in your daily life.

For colors other than black, such as natural, burgundy, and brown, you can enjoy the brown core that gradually becomes visible, or you can gradually make it darker by adding cream.

This season, we will also be introducing COUPEN made from suede leather.
We chose chrome-tanned suede for its excellent color development,
It is thick, holds oil well, and has a soft texture.
We offer two types: BLACK SUEDE, which has a deep black color, and TABACCO SUEDE, which has a beautiful color reminiscent of dried tobacco leaves.
This is a seasonal color, so if you're interested, please take a look as soon as possible.
The release is scheduled for around spring.

We are often asked about care methods,
There is no problem with using animal-derived oils (such as mink oil), but there is a disadvantage to adding too much to leather such as Chrome Excel leather, which naturally contains a lot of oil, as it can cause the leather to lose its firmness and become too soft.

Recently, we have been recommending using 1909 Supreme Creme de luxe (colourless) from the long-established German manufacturer Collonil to maintain the shine.

If you prefer a matte finish, try mink oil.
If you want a moderate shine, you may want to try Collonil 1909 Supreme Cream Deluxe (colorless).

When it comes to suede leather, you can either brush it with a brass brush to remove dirt and dust, or you can do nothing and let it grow and enjoy the dirt and matted fur that accumulates.
Personally, I prefer the latter. Try wearing them on a motorcycle or similar and getting oil stains on them.

In February, we have burgundy Chromexcel and Italian horsehide brown (which also develops into a deep, sophisticated color with wear).
Two types will be completed, so please come and see them in store.

We apologize for the ongoing lack of stock, but we do have a large number of samples available in store.
You can also try on the items to find the right size, so please feel free to ask us when you visit our store.
