IN'EI

Posted by CRAFTBANK- THE BOOTS SHOP on

It's been about ten months since the announcement.

The IN'EI series has finally been released.

While many of ROLLING DUB TRIO's models are more work boot-like, this one has a chic, dressy finish.

Taking Junichiro Tanizaki's "Praise of Shadows" as the inspiration theme,

We created a model that we were satisfied with by repeatedly making samples, from selecting carefully selected leather to adjusting the last and the specifications around the sole.

A tribute to shadows, which is seen as a Japanese aesthetic, and which creates shadows from light.

The functional beauty and purity of the deep black stands out even in the dark

It is a model with a sophisticated yet strong presence that is characteristic of our style.

Timeless and timeless

I hope that these shoes will be passed down to future generations, just like his essays.

ROLLING DUB TRIO -H Item Number "IN'EI"

The H series is inspired by "In Praise of Shadows" (1933) by Junichiro Tanizaki, a novelist from the late Meiji to mid-Showa period. The beauty that lies within the deep black is expressed through a simple, functional design that minimizes the need for emphasis.
Using an improved Munson last, this shoe offers outstanding comfort and walking ability, while remaining simple yet true to RDT style.
The leather used is Dutch calfskin ( known as kip in Japan ) that has been finished in Japan as box calf . It has a captivating translucent black color and a finely textured surface.
We pursued the uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense with beautiful leather, functional beauty, and a streamlined design.
