Hiroaki Inaba solo exhibition "Crossing Borders"

Posted by CRAFTBANK- THE BOOTS SHOP on

A solo exhibition by designer Hiroaki Inaba will be held at THE BOOTS SHOP in Asakusa.

Mr. Inaba has close ties with both ROLLING DUB DUB TRIO and TOKYO SANDAL.

Large works will be exhibited on the walls inside THE BOOTS SHOP for approximately one month.

The composition of multiple lines creates a momentary fluctuation in the boundaries of the viewer's eyes as the perspective changes.

It feels like you're observing the vast sky and mountains while flying in an airplane.

These works have a rich expression that changes depending on the angle, so please enjoy them from various angles, such as the front, the side, and diagonally.

Hiroaki Inaba
Born in 1978. Graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Tama Art University.
After working at an advertising agency, he founded the design studio FUNDAMENT in Kuramae, Tokyo.
He handles a wide range of design work, from advertising campaigns for major companies to editorial, packaging, and logo design.
He is responsible for the logo design of THE BOOTS SHOP and the design of the "HONE-HONE" (charm).
He won the Good Design Award for "Daimeikoma," a product derived from his own hobby.

This exhibition transcends his career as a designer.
It will be a collection of graphic art works.

Since 2022, he has been creating works based on the theme of "crossing borders." The screens, composed solely of lines, intertwine in a multi-layered manner thanks to their double-structure design, and the shift in the viewer's perspective causes the boundaries to fluctuate. This exhibition will feature five works from a series born out of an approach and experiment different from his previous design work.
